My Teaching Approach

Teach with Purpose

I believe that learning should not only educate but also inspire. I strive to create a classroom culture where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged to be bold thinkers and compassionate citizens. With my background in public service and leadership, I bring a sense of structure, accountability, and vision—while also honoring the unique experiences and identities each student brings to the classroom.

Learning That Connects

Whether we are unpacking key moments in history or analyzing the world around us today, my goal is to equip students with the tools to think critically, ask important questions, and step into the world as informed and courageous leaders.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that education is a tool for empowerment—and that every student deserves a teacher who sees their potential, values their voice, and equips them to make a difference. As a social studies teacher, I aim to build critical thinkers, compassionate citizens, and courageous leaders.

My teaching will be rooted in empathy, structure, and relevance. I draw from my military and public service background to create a classroom that is both disciplined and supportive, where high expectations are matched with high encouragement. I believe in teaching students how to think, not what to think—fostering curiosity, encouraging questions, and making learning meaningful through real-world connections.
